Film Mechanic Studios is a government-registered post-production studio based in Guwahati, Assam, working with filmmakers and organisations across India and internationally.Founded by FTII and NYFA-trained editor Jyotirmoy Mazumdar, the studio brings long-form editorial experience across cinema, documentary, and OTT platforms to every project.Our focus is simple:
clarity in story, discipline in pacing, and care in finishing.We combine industry-grade precision with an independent filmmaker’s sensibility — shaping work that feels considered, grounded, and complete.

About Our Founder

Text

Jyotirmoy Mazumdar is a film editor, writer, and graduate of FTII and the New York Film Academy. He has worked as Associate Editor on acclaimed Netflix originals like Qala and Mai, and on Despatch for ZEE5. He also edited India Bites with Shrimoyee, a travel food series for Apple TV. With over a decade of experience across fiction, documentary, and branded content, he founded Film Mechanic Studio to bring cinematic precision and narrative depth to every frame.
